Cathedral, Victoria Street, Manchester
Cathedral, Victoria Street, Manchester
"One of the most impressive examples in England of a late medieval collegiate church", opined Pevsner. The building history is a little murky, but it appears to largely date from 1421. Like most cathedrals it has undergone many "restorations", the last by Hubert Worthington after the Second World War. The church became a cathedral in 1847. Grade I listed.
