Derelict House, Charcoal Road
Brachendene, a large mock-Tudor house, was once a grand site with greenhouses, outbuildings and a swimming pool. It was used as an auxiliary hospital during the First World War LinkExternal link .

The house was bought by the Iranian government in the 1970s and used to house the Iranian consul. In the years following Iran's Islamic revolution LinkExternal link , the building began to be left empty. It was finally abandoned in the 2000s.
