NT1976 : Cramond House

taken 7 years ago, near to Cramond, Edinburgh, Great Britain

Cramond House
Cramond House
Carmond House was originally built in 1680 by John Inglis, as a more commodious residence than his nearby Cramond Tower. This wing is later, probably built about 1760. The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historic Monuments of Scotland says, "Cramond House has no features of architectural importance", and it is apparently not a listed building. It was a nursing home and later the headquarters of the Scottish Wildlife Trust, but now (January 2012) is looking for a new tenant.
