Corbridge Bridge
Corbridge Bridge
Looking south along the fine seven arch bridge over the River Tyne which was built in 1674, replacing an earlier bridge. It was the only bridge on the entire length of the River Tyne to survive the great floods of 1771. The bridge is too narrow for modern traffic, and is controlled by traffic signals. The village car park can be seen on the far bank.
