ST5871 : Church Lane, Bedminster

taken 12 years ago, near to Bristol, England

Church Lane, Bedminster
Church Lane, Bedminster
So-called as the old St John's church was at the end of the road. Thought to be the oldest church in the area (including the later Bristol) it was destroyed in the Blitz. A benchmark can be found on the gatepost of the red entrance to the left of shot - see ST5871 : Benchmark by the gate.
