Angel's Hill burial ground
Angel's Hill burial ground
This small burial ground is perched on top of a steep sided hill just north of Kirkton. The readable grave markers are all from the 20th century. The hill was once the site of an iron age dłn.

Footnote: Geograph Moderator James Yardley has pointed out that the Gaelic name for this hill is Cnoc nan Aingeal, which translates as 'Hill of the Angels', so the singular Angel in the popular English spelling of the name of the hill should strictly be a plural (Angels').
