Effigy of Hautacia, St Peter's church, Norton Disney
Commanding the best position on the floor of the mortuary chapel is the effigy of a late-14th-century lady dressed in a long, close-fitting habit. She lies on a low plinth, hands clasped, with her head on two diagonally set cushions.
Dated about 1380/1400 and is inscribed: HIC JACET HAUTACIA FILIA IBLLI DISNE DOMINI DE NORTON. (Here lies Hautacia (Eustacia?) daughter of William Disney Master of Norton.
The Disney crest with three lions is clearly seen.
