High Street, Ringwood
High Street, Ringwood
There are two schools of thought as to the meaning of the name Ringwood. It either comes from the Saxon name Rimue Wode, meaning the edge of the wood, or from the Domesday Book version of Rinevede, meaning a ford (vede) over a river (rine).

The High Street still has it Christmas decorations up.
