Keble's Bridge, Eastleach
Keble's Bridge, Eastleach
The twin villages Eastleach Martin and Eastleach Turville LinkExternal link are among the most pictured locations in the Cotswolds with their two adjacent parish churches facing each other across the river Leach, and this medieval stone clapper bridge linking them.
Churchman, author and composer John Keble LinkExternal link was the curate of Eastleach Martin but the Keble family was a well known local one so the bridge may not be named after him personally.
This is looking upstream to the newer road bridge just visible mid shot.
