Gorse, Farnham Heath
Gorse, Farnham Heath
Gorse lines the bridleway while a pine plantation beside it has just been cleared. The RSPB wooden lectern describes how young, soft gorse was once used as cattle feed. Gorse was also used as the base for haystacks - that kept the stacks drier.
