Down freight at Ashchurch Level-Crossing
Down freight at Ashchurch Level-Crossing
View northward, towards Worcester and Birmingham; ex-Midland Birmingham - Bristol main line. Back in 1946 when the rail level-crossing (cf. SO9233 : Down freight on the rail level-crossing at Ashchurch) was still in use, Hughes/Fowler 5P4F 2-6-0 No. 2774 (built 1927 as 13074, withdrawn 11/63) pulls a Down Class H freight out of the Down loop into the station. [One of my early box-camera efforts].
