Adel Beck powered a lot of Industry, the nearest being Adel Mill.
In 1788 it was powering Adel Mill + Scotland Mill where John Marshall and Matthew Murray perfected spinning Flax Yarns.

Adel Beck flows into Leeds becoming Meanwood Beck (after the bridge on Parkside Road) and then Sheepscar Beck.
At Roseville Rd it goes underground before meeting the River Aire in Leeds
