TM1045 : Disused footpath past Round Wood, Burstall

taken 7 years ago, near to Burstall, Suffolk, Great Britain

Disused footpath past Round Wood, Burstall
The footpath has been diverted and now leads through Round Wood rather than along its western edge. The lightly wooded area seen in mid-distance is locally known as Elbow Wood but maps mark it as Elms Grove. Presumably all the elm trees which gave it its name have long since fallen victim to the Dutch elm disease because all the remaining trees here are oaks.
