NC2128 : Lochan Bealach Cornaidh outflow

taken 7 years ago, 4 km from Newton, Highland, Great Britain

Lochan Bealach Cornaidh outflow
Lochan Bealach Cornaidh outflow
High water and low cloud combine to make this a rather unusual view of the outlet burn from the lochan. Since you climb up quite steeply on the final section to the loch, you were actually looking under the cloud here. As you reached the loch level and stood up, the view all but disappeared! The visibility beneath the cloud is about 200-300 metres as shown by the far bank to the left of centre.
