SU2176 : Byway diversion, Snap Farm

taken 7 years ago, near to Woodsend, Wiltshire, Great Britain

Byway diversion, Snap Farm
Byway diversion, Snap Farm
This byway, which does not appear on older OS maps, seems to have been built recently as a diversion around Snap Farm, which is now protected by CCTV (the hedge bounding the farm can be seen on the right). The byway coming up from Snap deserted village has also been diverted around the farm. This track is signposted to connect with the Ridgeway, and the radio mast beyond the Ridgeway on Whitefield Hill can be seen directly in the distance.
