Marden Quarry
Marden Quarry
A public road crosses high moorland connecting Westgate in the Wear valley with Rook Hope, one of its major tributaries. From that route a short stretch of farm road seen here, known as Red Road reaches Marden Quarry, the disturbed ground to the right in the image; now long disused it was a small affair.
