Nene Valley Railway: Peterborough Nene Valley Station (1)
Nene Valley Railway: Peterborough Nene Valley Station (1)
This is the Peterborough terminus of the Nene Valley Railway, looking deserted after a passing shower. This was the route of the former London & North Western Railway's Northampton to Peterborough line, opened in 1845 and the first railway to arrive in the city, pre-dating the Great Northern Line by a couple of years. This was not however the site of the original Peterborough station which was further to the east.
