Shewington curling pond shelter
Shewington curling pond shelter
This is a vaulted stone-built building which sits alongside Shewington curling pond. It has obviously been built with some care as witnessed by the shaped lintel to the doorway. It was most probably a shelter for curlers, as it had a fireplace at the far end, which has recently been bricked up, but it may also have served as an ice-house.
