Gun emplacement on Bossington Beach
Gun emplacement on Bossington Beach
This is on top of the shingle back that forms the protection of the marshland from the sea. During WWII a lot of defensive points were placed along Bossington Beach as it would have been an inviting landing point for any enemy craft coming up the Bristol Channel. This one, at least, still remains.
