The Giant's Grave Bronze Age round barrow
The Giant's Grave, which is situated within a plantation of trees on a ridge of the downs west of Aldbourne, is a Bronze Age round barrow, one of several in the vicinity. Neolithic and Bronze Age stone tools and Bronze Age and Romano-British pottery fragments have been found in the area, whose continuing use into the historic era is evidenced by the field system nearby. Excavated by Greenwell, it is now a scheduled monument.LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) Giants Grave
