NY6440 : Wind shelter on top of Fiend's Fell

taken 7 years ago, 4 km from Gamblesby, Cumbria, Great Britain

Wind shelter on top of Fiend's Fell
Wind shelter on top of Fiend's Fell
Tumbled down and full of snow, this shelter lies a short distance south east of the trig point at 634m. We didn't need it today since it was almost warm in the sun with virtually no wind. Looking towards Cross Fell which, according to the story, used to be called Fiend's Fell until the little devils were banished to this spot!
