Plaque to a Runcorn WWI hero
This plaque, on the front of the old Police Station in Runcorn, is a memorial to Private Thomas Alfred Jones - "Todger" Jones - a Runcorn man who earned a Victoria Cross by capturing 102 Germans singlehandedly in Morval on 15 Sept 1914. See his account on myweb.tiscali.co.uk/haltonrbl/haltonrbl/todger_jones.htm
