Bridge, The Lake, Buscot Park
Bridge, The Lake, Buscot Park
This bridge carries the track to Oldfield Farm over the feeder end of The Lake, Buscot Park. LinkExternal link The bridge is a Grade II listed building. LinkExternal link The track incorporates a public footpath, part of the D'Arcy Dalton Way, named after Colonel D'Arcy Dalton, one of the founding members of the Oxford Fieldpaths Society. LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) LinkExternal link I took this photograph on an extremely cold day when the lake was frozen: breadcrumbs dropped for wildfowl had landed on the ice and remained there. The house in the background is Heckford Lodge; it fronts on to the A417 Lechlade to Faringdon road.
