Queenstown Road station
Queenstown Road station
Queenstown Road station was opened on 1 November 1877, by the London & South Western Railway, and was originally named Queen's Road (Battersea). Queen's Road (Battersea) was renamed Queenstown Road (Battersea) in 1980, but now appears to just be called Queenstown Road. It has seven tracks but only three platforms, one of which is disused. The disused platform is to the left here whilst the two in use are numbered 2 and 3 in the picture. The through tracks are to the right. This looks in the direction of Vauxhall and Waterloo whilst the bridge ahead carries trains from Victoria towards Wandsworth Road.
