Row of floodwater relief arches at Bere Marsh
Haywoods lane, which becomes a causeway above this row of ten arches, connects the villages of Shillingstone and Child Okeford. These arches, and several others nearby, serve to channel floodwater under the road and onto the extensive water meadows down river of the road.
