TL5049 : Where trains once crossed

taken 7 years ago, near to Babraham, Cambridgeshire, Great Britain

Where trains once crossed
Where trains once crossed
A bridge once carried Cambridge-Colchester trains over the Babraham-Pampisford road here. Its abutments have been removed but for three courses of brick on the right-hand side of the road just in front of the car. The embankment now slopes down to road level. See TL5049 : Trackbed of the Cambridge to Colchester railway for the view along the embankment.
