SS8940 : At Dunkery Gate

taken 7 years ago, near to Luckwell Bridge, Somerset, Great Britain

At Dunkery Gate
At Dunkery Gate
From here, in this direction, a bridleway heads east, roughly following the track that the walkers are coming along, heading towards the valley of the River Avill. In the foreground is the source of the River Avill, at least the point where various moorland trickles start to properly join and make an identifiable river. There is a popular car park here, as half the ascent of Dunkery Beacon is already done by road. We had walked here though.
