Premises of the Parc & Dare band, located on Dumfries Street, at the southern edge of the derelict Tabernacle chapel.
Link Originally formed as the Cwmparc Temperance Drum and Fife Band in 1893, the band went all brass a year later to become the Cwmparc Silver Band. They were renamed the Parc & Dare Workmen’s Silver Band after they began receiving financial support from the Ocean Coal Company who operated the nearby Parc and Dare collieries.
