SD7877 : Ice on the River Ribble

taken 7 years ago, near to High Birkwith, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Ice on the River Ribble
Ice on the River Ribble
It was very cold last night (possibly the coldest night of the winter so far). In the sun the temperature was hovering around zero, just enough to melt the ice and cause loud groans and cracking noises as the river moved the floes. Park Fell beyond.
