Holy Trinity Church, Blacon
Holy Trinity Church, Blacon
Built in 1960, Blacon's C of E parish church has the full name of Holy Trinity Without The Walls, a very old fashioned sounding name for a modern church.
Before present day Blacon was developed in the 1960s this area was part of the old parish of Blacon cum Crabwall, with a distant Parish Church of the Holy Trinity way off in Chester. LinkExternal link
This was closed in 1960 and replaced by this church in the middle of the newly developed suburb. LinkExternal link hence Without, as in outside, the Walls.
