M4 footbridge near South Leaze Farm
M4 footbridge near South Leaze Farm
This footbridge replaced the concrete bridge which was demolished in 2008. The old bridge carried the lane from Swindon over to its junction with Wharf Road; at the time, although it was gated, the lane was open to vehicles. Now, only this footpath over the new bridge joins the stubs of the old lane. South Leaze farmhouse can be glimpsed in the distance between the two balustrades of the bridge.
