taken 13 years ago, near to Craighouse, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

Craighouse jetty and pier
Craighouse jetty and pier
The further piled pier, known as the New Pier, was formerly the destination of a ferry from the mainland, which no longer operates. The pier is still used by local fishermen and for recreational purposes. Off the pier there are eight 15 tonnes moorings, owned and maintained annually by Argyll and Bute Council.

In the foreground is the original harbour with its jetty, built in the early 19th century to serve the distillery.
