The tomb in the foreground is of Richard Edes, appointed Dean of Worcester in 1597, subsequently Chaplain to both Queen Elizabeth I and to King James I.
Beyond, on the wall is a memorial to Colonel Sir Henry Walton Ellis,a native of the city,who, after a distinguished military career, died of his wounds at Waterloo.
