Meon Hill [1]
Meon Hill [1]
This is one of the recently created permissive paths leading up Meon Hill. The path leaves the Heart of England Way and heads towards Jarrett's Brow. The hill, an outlier of the Cotswold escarpment, is surmounted by a multivallate hillfort, one of only two in Warwickshire. The fort is a scheduled ancient monument and there is a great deal of detail at:- LinkExternal link
Meon Hill was the scene of a famous unsolved murder. The story of the murder is at LinkExternal link or at LinkExternal link
