Just once every year (on the 6th of February) the rising moon lines up with this cleft in the split rocks on the crag. According to local legend, the fairy folks emerge and grant a wish to whoever asks it of them. Well, I checked my bank account on the internet this morning and nothing had been put in - what a load of old tosh that was then!
