South Door, St Giles Parish Church
South Door, St Giles Parish Church
This photo shows the south (main) entrance to the Church. Above the door can be seen a 12th Century Norman tympanum carved with a Christ in Majesty seated on a throne and supported by two well-feathered angels in flowing drapery. The lintel has a pattern of delicate intersecting arches.
