Typically stately Edwardian bank, built by Percy Worthington for the Union Bank, 1911 (both client and date recorded in the frieze). Portland stone, the ground-floor rustication carried up the full height of the corner bay as banded rustication. Fine arched window above the entrance with rusticated voussoirs and a garland carved in the tympanum. Grade II listed.
At the time of the photo both the ground-floor retail space and offices above were unused and being advertised for rental.
