Lower House/Manor Mottram-St-Andrew
Lower House/Manor Mottram-St-Andrew
Confusion over naming here continues with the house having a sign saying Lower House and a few yards down the road is a water treatment plant of United Utilities named Lowerhouse. I must say that the house appears to be a loving pastiche of a Jacobean Manor and not at all like my image of a working farm as it may appear from the lofty heights of The Edge.
Hurried Correction!! Checking the status of Whirley Hall SJ8774 I found this not to be a pastiche at all but an original Grade II listed and obviously lovingly maintained.
