SK8162 : Collingham Wharf

taken 7 years ago, near to Carlton-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, Great Britain

Collingham Wharf
Collingham Wharf
Looking east across the River Trent. This was once the wharf serving the village of Collingham, used for the movement of goods connected with the local agriculture and brick-making businesses. The house at the centre is still called Wharf Cottage, which reflects the history. Also known as Jolly Barge after the pub which once served the boatmen.
