Entrance to Rother Valley Park from Trans Pennine Trail
Two bridges can be seen; both carried the Great Central Railway. This lane was formerly a farm lane allowing Field Farm Access to land in what is now Rother Valley Park. Field Farm was just off Cow Lane, sited close to Wooley Bros' abattoir. In December 1944 a V1 flying bomb exploded in a field just to the south of the farm.
