The Portway
The Portway
This is a section of a Roman Road which runs from Slichester (Calleva Atrebatum) to (Sorviodunum) Old Sarum. That is 36 miles but surprisingly not much of the northeastern section of the original road has been metalled. The assart woodland to the left is called The Robley belt.
