NZ0768 : Hilltop above Crag Plantation

taken 7 years ago, near to Harlow Hill, Northumberland, Great Britain

Hilltop above Crag Plantation
Hilltop above Crag Plantation
This was likely the original 'Harlow Hill', a name now applied to the hamlet on the Military Road to the south. The structure on the left is probably an underground water reservoir constructed much more recently and without the protection of the old wartime buildings and bunker on the right which were part of a communications facility located on the hilltop above RAF Ouston. The OS map still shows an aerial here but it has now gone.
