ST2697 : Pylon line on Mynydd Maen

taken 7 years ago, 3 km from Henllys, Torfaen/Tor-Faen, Great Britain

Pylon line on Mynydd Maen
Pylon line on Mynydd Maen
A visual blight but a useful navigation aid in certain conditions. Today ice periodically tumbles off the lines and tinkles down in dazzling showers. Occasionally the pylons shed a large load of ice which cascades down or thumps and crashes, splintering on impact and ricocheting amongst the pylon legs.
