William Campion (d.1702) of Combwell was grandson of William and Rachel Campion TQ7237 : Memorial to William Campion, Goudhurst Church
His father, also William was killed in the siege of Colchester aged 34.
William married Frances Glyn, they had issue 9 children.
He wears a fine wig on this carving.
The sculptor was probably Francis Bird.
