Road junction near Acrise in 2000
The arms of the signpost point left to Swingfield & Lydden (along Hoad Road), right to Acrise (1 mile) and "this way" to Ladwood and Henbury. Even at the end of the year, there are still circular bales of straw in the further field. The soil here is a mixture of clay and chalk, which becomes very sticky when wet.
