Standish church
Standish church
Standish church is dedicated to St Nicholas and much of it dates from the early 14th century. After his murder in Berkeley Castle, the funeral cortege carrying Edward II's body from Berkeley to Gloucester Cathedral rested here. It is thought this building post-dates this event.
