Locally known as Pip 'n' Jay!
The church of St Philip and St Jacob has stood here since at least the thirteenth century and documents mention a church back in 1174. Before that, this site (just outside the old city walls) appears to have been a Benedictine priory from about 900. Its history can be seen in the website: LinkExternal link
