Waterloo International station, 1996
Before the high speed link to London was built and St Pancras station converted for the use of international trains, Eurostar services used a special terminal on the western side of Waterloo station. Like St Pancras, it had passport and ticket controls at a lower level from which passengers then climbed to track level: from the main forecourt of the station one looked across the low-level foyer of the International terminal to the tracks at forecourt level. The terminal is currently mothballed (2012).
