Stone pen in Glen Bracadale
Stone pen in Glen Bracadale
A closer look at the dry-stone walled pen (see NG3739 : Stone pen in Glen Bracadale) shows that it has been constructed largely of heavy rounded boulders painstakingly piled together to create a sheep-proof barrier. The pen is just about in good enough condition to be used today, with only one or two tumbled sections, but the sheep are no longer here is large enough numbers for such an enclosure to be needed.
