A wind-felled tree temporarily diverts the path of the North Cheshire Way around its uprooted base. Beyond the tree the cut quarry wall of red sandstone is nearly occluded by fallen debris piled against it. Never a major source of stone which will likely have been used for walls and outbuildings.
